How NumberAlchemy calculates a chart
A plain-language account of the Pythagorean method, the choices it makes and the limits it keeps visible.
The method
Consistent arithmetic, clear boundaries.
NumberAlchemy uses a Pythagorean numerology framework. It translates a birth date and name into a set of conventional number values, then presents those values as prompts for reflection rather than proof about a person or their future.
Different numerology traditions can use different letter tables, reduction rules and timing conventions. A different result from another calculator does not necessarily mean either calculation is wrong; it may reflect a different method.
Calculation sequence
Birth date
We use the full day, month and year to calculate Life Path, Birthday and timing-cycle values.
Birth name
We use the complete name recorded at birth for Expression, Soul Urge and Personality calculations. Spaces and punctuation have no value.
Reduction
Totals are reduced through their digits while preserving 11, 22 and 33 where the calculation calls for a Master Number.
Interpretation
Results are written as themes and reflection prompts. They are not scientific measurements, predictions or professional advice.
What we do
- Show a consistent Pythagorean framework.
- Use complete inputs for the calculation being explained.
- Keep Master Number handling visible where relevant.
- Write interpretations in grounded, non-deterministic language.
What we do not claim
- Scientific proof of personality or destiny.
- Guaranteed relationship outcomes or future events.
- Medical, legal, financial or mental-health advice.
- A substitute for evidence, professional judgement or consent.
